HATTIESBURG, MS – In a disturbing case that has sent ripples through Mississippi communities, 21-year-old Denise Frazier has begun serving a four-year prison sentence following her conviction on bestiality charges in Forrest County. The young woman’s actions, which involved multiple animals over multiple incidents, have sparked outrage among animal rights advocates and community members alike.
Legal Proceedings and Sentencing Details
On January 24, 2025, Frazier received her sentence after being found guilty of engaging in “physical” acts with animals.
According to information available on the Mississippi Department of Corrections website, the court mandated that following her incarceration, Frazier must complete five years of probation. Additionally, she has been ordered to pay $2,615.51 in fines and restitution.
She is currently incarcerated at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility located in Rankin County.
History of Allegations
This conviction isn’t Frazier’s first encounter with law enforcement regarding similar allegations.
In 2024, Hattiesburg authorities apprehended Frazier on two separate charges – one count of attempted unnatural intercourse and one count of completed unnatural intercourse with animals.
These charges came approximately a year after her initial arrest in Jones County in April 2023, where she faced accusations of unnatural intercourse with animals.
Evidence and Animal Welfare
Law enforcement officials obtained damning video evidence that documented Frazier’s actions.
According to animal welfare organization In Defense of Animals, the footage showed Frazier engaging in intimate acts with canines. The organization stated that three different dogs appeared in multiple recordings.
Following their rescue, all animals received veterinary treatment and care.
Advocacy Response
Animal rights advocates continue pushing for additional accountability.
Doll Stanley from In Defense of Animals expressed that while this sentencing represents progress, advocacy efforts continue, particularly regarding the Jones County case where Frazier’s abusive behavior was first discovered.
