Marie, Michigan has vanished in one of the most iconic landmarks in the U.S., sparking a frantic search at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Martha Overholser, who was last seen on December 10, failed to return to her tour bus at Mather Point on the South Rim, and authorities are now piecing together clues in the hope of locating her.

Martha Overholser was participating in a commercial bus tour of the Grand Canyon when she went missing. According to the National Park Service, she was last seen around Mather Point, a popular viewing spot on the South Rim. Overholser was expected to return to the bus with the rest of the group but never did, prompting an immediate search.
Park officials believe she may have walked away from the area, with the possibility of heading west toward either the Bright Angel Lodge or Hermits Rest.
“Overholser is believed to have walked west from the Mather Point area, possibly towards the Bright Angel Lodge or Hermits Rest,” stated the National Park Service in a release.
