MOORHEAD, MN – Shattered glass and the crunch of metal echoed as a Moorhead, Minnesota man kicked out the windows of two police vehicles while in custody Saturday night. His violent outburst followed a drunk driving arrest, leaving Cass County deputies scrambling to control the situation.

Maybe the Minnesota Vikings should consider offering him a tryout as their next placekicker – he’s certainly got a knack for breaking through defenses!

Chaos During Arrest in Horace

The arrest began around 8 p.m. in Horace, North Dakota, where Cass County deputies took the 34-year-old into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Once inside the squad car, things took a destructive turn. The man kicked through the window of the squad vehicle, damaging it just a week into service. The damage was extensive, costing around $5,100.

When deputies transferred him to a transport van, the suspect struck again, kicking out a window in the van as well. That second incident caused another $2,500 in damage.

Assaults on Deputies Add to Charges

In addition to the property damage, the man assaulted multiple deputies during the incident. Fortunately, none of the deputies were seriously injured.

Now in the Cass County Jail, the suspect faces a total of ten criminal charges. Authorities are also seeking restitution for the damage caused to both vehicles.
