SOUTH JORDAN, UT – A customer’s frustration over a fast-food order turned violent when he allegedly choked a teenage employee at an Arby’s in South Jordan, Utah. A tense scene unfolded at an Arby’s drive-thru in South Jordan, just 15 miles south of Salt Lake City, around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, when 51-year-old Salvador Anthony Espericueta became enraged over a problem with his order.
After expressing his anger, he exited his vehicle and approached the young employee who was handling the drive-thru window. The situation quickly escalated when Espericueta confronted the teen, asking if he was “man enough to have a conversation.”
Confrontation Turns Violent
What followed was a violent exchange. Espericueta shoved the teenage employee against the wall and door of the fast-food restaurant, according to the police report.
After the physical altercation, Espericueta allegedly put his hands around the young employee’s neck, choking him briefly before retreating to his car and fleeing the scene.
The 16-year-old juvenile employee, was unharmed but shaken by the encounter. The incident left witnesses stunned and prompted the fast-food worker to report the attack to local authorities.
Police Arrest the Suspect
