New Survey Reveals the Most Frustrating Fliers

Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota – Picture this: you’re finally settled in your airplane seat, ready to relax and enjoy your flight, when suddenly, the person behind you starts kicking your seat like it’s a soccer ball. Sound familiar? Well, according to a recent survey by travel website Only Wanderlust, you’re not the only one who finds this behavior annoying.

The Worst Offenders

After surveying over 1,500 travelers, they discovered that seat kickers are the most annoying passengers on a plane. But that’s not all – the list of irritating fliers goes on and on. From passengers with bad body odor to those who talk loudly, it seems like there’s no shortage of ways to get on your fellow travelers’ nerves.

Other top offenders include people who lean on or pull your seat, drunk or tipsy fliers, crying babies or children, and passengers who recline their seats. And let’s not forget about the folks who wear strong perfume or cologne, those who don’t wear their masks properly, and the ones who snore like chainsaws.

The Great Reclining Debate

Speaking of reclining seats, the survey also tackled the age-old question: do passengers have the right to recline? According to two out of three respondents, the answer is yes. However, if the person in front of you is really causing problems, they suggest politely asking them to move their seat up or speaking to a flight attendant.

According to survey participants, the most common airline passenger annoyances, in order of frequency, are:
