MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Two sisters are on the run after allegedly causing a fatal hit-and-run accident in Minneapolis in July, and authorities have now issued arrest warrants for both. Cops need your help finding these heartless, young fugitives. Learn how you can bring justice to one Minnesota family.
Victoria Nevada Yorahee, 25, and her younger sister, Tianna Renee Yorahee, 18, reportedly fled to Las Vegas after their SUV struck and killed 52-year-old Andre Stewart. The sisters are both from Arizona.
This tragic incident happened on July 29, when Andre Stewart was riding a motorized scooter near Fremont Avenue North and 22nd Avenue North in Minneapolis.
Tragic Hit-and-Run Claims the Life of Andre Stewart
According to police reports, the Nissan Pathfinder driven by Victoria was traveling at an estimated 80 mph on a residential street when it collided with Stewart. The force of the impact left Stewart with life-threatening injuries, and he was rushed to North Memorial Hospital, where he later died on August 2.
The vehicle, found abandoned a short distance from the crash site, had severe front-end damage. The hood was folded back onto the windshield, and the scooter was crushed underneath the Pathfinder.
Witnesses say both sisters, along with another unidentified woman, were seen fleeing the scene after removing the rear license plate and disposing of liquor bottles nearby.
Sisters Flee to Las Vegas After Fatal Crash
Victoria has been charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, while Tianna faces charges of aiding and abetting.
Despite the severity of the charges, the sisters managed to evade authorities and flee the state, leading investigators to their last known location: Las Vegas.
Court documents reveal that shortly before the crash, Victoria sent texts referencing plans to smoke marijuana, suggesting impairment may have been a factor. A video recorded that same day from inside the vehicle showed the view from the driver’s seat, adding further evidence to the case.
Weeks after the fatal crash, Stewart’s daughter provided police with information pointing to the sisters’ location in Nevada. She claimed that Victoria had been harassing her via phone and social media, bragging about her ability to evade capture. Victoria allegedly even stated she planned to get pregnant to avoid jail time.
Family Seeks Justice and Community Support
As the search for the Yorahee sisters continues, Stewart’s family has been fighting for justice. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help with funeral expenses, with family members remembering Stewart as a caring man who was a pillar of strength.
