ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Police Department on Monday released body-worn camera videos related to several arrests made earlier this month after a group of people claimed to be filming a music video but allegedly used real firearms instead of prop guns.

Police said that officers responded to 355 Whitehall Street SW on Aug. 7 after a 911 caller reported seeing multiple men on the property brandishing firearms, with two individuals wearing face masks.

When officers arrived, they were met by a man wearing body armor who told officers he was working security for a music video shoot. In the video an officer asks the man about reports that multiple men were “flashing guns.”

“They’re props,” the man says. “No guns.”

“You don’t mind if I check it out, then?” the officer asks. The man hesitates before agreeing.

According to police, while officers were speaking with the security guard, they observed “several” men enter a blue Mercedes on the premises and drive away before they could be interviewed.

Officers radioed for another unit to stop the vehicle, which they stopped a few blocks away.

The driver admitted not having a valid driver’s license, and the driver and passengers were detained while police searched the vehicle. Officers found multiple firearms within reach of the driver and passengers, including at least four Glocks and a rifle.

The driver, Jarquavis White, 20; Tekai Key, 19; Joseph Daniels, 26; Kevin Beaufort, 21; and and Jamaireon Muse, 21, were each arrested and booked into the fulton county Jail on charges of unlawful firearm possession.

Police said officers seized the guns along with ammunition and nearly $10,000 in cash.
