According to a recent study by Penn Stakes, the Minnesota accent has been ranked as the 9th most attractive accent in the U.S. Uff-da, can you believe it? We’re right up there with the big shots like New York and California! Pretty impressive, don’t cha know?

The folks at Penn Stakes did something called “social listening research.” They took a good, hard look at the top 50 most common accents in the country and scoured the internet for people talking about them. They kept an eye out for words like “sexy” and “attractive” being used to describe each accent. The more people gushed about an accent, the higher it ranked on the list.
My hubby Jack is pretty excited by this news. If you’ve listened to our Midwest travel podcast you know he can sound like he’s an extra from the movie Fargo, and every few days someone on our YouTube channel will troll him in the comments. Now he plans on simply responding with: “I’m sexy and I know it!” LOL.
