Authorities say 43-year-old Cedric Ross allegedly struck his mother with a cast iron skillet during the altercation, resulting in charges of aggravated domestic violence.
Authorities Warned Public About Rossās Danger
The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office identified Ross as a suspect on Wednesday, issuing a public advisory that labeled him as dangerous. The statement described the incident as a domestic “altercation” involving baseball cards, which escalated when Ross allegedly hit his mother in the head with the heavy pan.
While the sheriff’s office confirmed the nature of the assault, they did not provide specific details about the extent of the mother’s injuries.

Shortly after this communication, Ross surrendered at the sheriff’s office, where he was taken into custody without incident.
