Minneapolis Adventure Turns Sour!

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – What was supposed to be a fun girl’s night out for a group of women from Buffalo, Minnesota ended up being a major letdown. They traveled to downtown Minneapolis, eager for an immersive Beauty and the Beast Cocktail Experience, only to find no event at all.

No Fairytale Ending

The group had paid nearly $50 each for tickets. They were excited by the promotional video on Facebook, which featured actors in Victorian costumes and encouraged attendees to dress up as well. However, when they arrived at O’Donovan’s Irish Pub on Thursday night, there was no event to be found.

Confusion and Disappointment

The confusion was palpable among the attendees. They repeatedly checked the event details, thinking there might have been a mistake with the location, date, or time.

About two dozen people showed up at the bar, all expecting the pop-up event. The bar employees were just as clueless, having no knowledge of any such event.

Adding to the frustration, tickets are still being sold for similar Beauty and the Beast cocktail parties at O’Donovan’s through mid-August, some even advertised as family-friendly. This has raised concerns about more people falling for what appears to be a scam.

A Lesson Learned

O’Donovan’s bar manager expressed regret over the situation, noting that many attendees had traveled from out of town, booked hotel rooms, and invested their time only to discover the event was a sham. Despite multiple attempts to contact Viral Ventures, the company behind the event, there has been no response.
