Minnesota’s Finest Brews Compete

St. Paul, Minnesota – Ever wondered who brews the best craft beer in the Land of 10,000 Lakes? The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild set out to answer that question at their annual Minnesota Brewers Cup. This year’s competition was fiercer than ever, with over 90 breweries submitting nearly 450 beers across 23 categories. Talk about a lot of suds!

Blind Taste Test Ensures Fairness

To keep things fair and square, all the beers were judged in a blind taste test. That means the judges had no idea which brewery made which beer. They scored each brew based on its quality and how well it fit the style standards set by the Beer Judge Certification Program. Only the cream of the crop in each category made it to the final round: the Best in Show.
