According to the Saukville Fire Department’s social media post, this marks the third delivery they’ve assisted with in the past year alone! Janice Brka, a retired OB and local resident, wasn’t surprised by the news, noting that labor can progress quickly, and sometimes, expectant mothers just can’t make it to the hospital in time.

Despite the unusual circumstances surrounding the birth, both mom and baby are reported to be healthy and safe. Store manager Nick Zolecki expressed his gratitude to the first responders for their swift action and assistance in ensuring a positive outcome for the new family.
