Officers in Palm Bay were called to the Interchange Drive Northeast plaza after reports of a man violating a trespass order. But this wasn’t just any trespasser — the individual was decked out in a yellow clown suit with red-and-white striped sleeves, topped off with a bright red clown nose. He even carried extra clown gear, but what officers found next added a darker twist to the costume caper.

Not Your Typical Clown Getup

The man’s outfit appeared eerily similar to well-known fast-food mascot Ronald McDonald — but instead of golden arches on his chest, a skull patch stood in its place. Adding to the unsettling image, his face was unshaven and his demeanor anything but entertaining.

When law enforcement arrived on scene, the situation quickly escalated. Officers attempted to remove the man from the premises, but body camera footage captured a physical struggle as the clown-clad suspect resisted arrest.

Scuffle and Search Reveal More Surprises

After wrestling the suspect to the ground and securing him in handcuffs, officers searched his pockets and found a weapon, which they promptly discarded out of reach. A further search of the man’s bag turned up a box of clown noses, more costume pieces, and a pack of cigarettes.

The man didn’t deny his clown persona — in fact, he boldly leaned into it, even while sitting in the back of the patrol car.
