BUENA PARK, CA – A “clandestine drug lab” discovered in California contained some 300,000 suspected fentanyl pills, authorities said.
The Buena Park Police Department said an ongoing criminal investigation led detectives to a “suspected clandestine drug lab” on the 10600 block of Ellis Street in the City of Fountain Valley on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
The investigation involved a 26-year-old Buena Park resident who was not named.
Police executed search warrants at locations in Buena Park, Westminster, and Fountain Valley.
The drug lab at the Fountain Valley location contained around 300,000 suspected fentanyl pills, other drugs, and machinery used for drug manufacturing.
Police said the Orange County Environmental Health Hazardous Materials Team responded to the Fountain Valley scene and removed the hazardous materials.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and did not say whether the unnamed 26-year-old would be facing charges.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Buena Park Police Department.
