LITTLE RIVER, SC – A construction crane collapsed in South Carolina Tuesday afternoon, leaving at least one person critically injured, officials said.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to an entrapment call at a residential property under construction on Cambria Court in Little River at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday. Fire officials said a construction crane collapsed onto the building.
“Critical injuries are reported,” the fire department wrote on social media shortly after three p.m., without specifying how many people may be injured.
The fire department said the Horry County Police Department also responded to the scene to assist.
