Winona, Minnesota – Levee Park is gearing up for an exciting summer as American Cruise Lines plans to dock their fleet of ships, bringing thousands of passengers to the city. Despite the recent news of American Queen Voyages closing its doors, Winona remains a popular destination for river cruises.
My hubby Jack and I live in downtown Winona and we love talking walks to the river as the cruise ships are docking. It’s so much fun!
Three Boats, Ten Dockings π³οΈ
The American Cruise Lines fleet, consisting of the American Melody, American Serenade, and American Symphony, is set to make ten stops at Winona’s Levee Park throughout the season. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the city’s attractions, restaurants, and shopping.
Guided Tours and Warm Welcomes πΊοΈπ
As the boats arrive, area volunteers will be on hand to greet passengers and provide information about the city’s offerings. Historians will also offer guided tours, giving travelers an in-depth look at Winona’s unique history and charm.

Public Viewing and Parking ππ ΏοΈ
While the public is welcome to come to the Levee to view the impressive boats, no tours will be available. Convenient public parking lots are located at the foot of Walnut Street and Johnson Street in downtown Winona.

The first docking is scheduled for June 19β20, with the American Melody staying overnight from 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Other notable dates include July 7β8, when the American Serenade will also stay overnight, and September 18β19, featuring an overnight stay by the American Symphony.
Throughout the summer, the boats will make daytime stops, typically from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. However, it’s important to note that dockings are subject to change due to weather conditions.
