SUSANVILLE, CA – A dramatic rescue unfolded in Susanville, California, when a dog was saved from a precarious perch on a steep cliff. The incident occurred near Pigeon Cliffs along Highway 36 in northeastern California, where a 911 caller reported spotting the animal stranded on a small ledge about 20 feet below the cliff’s top. The Susanville Fire Department, alongside other local agencies, sprang into action to bring the dog to safety.

Coordinated Effort by Fire Crews
