Topeka, Kansas – Are you ready for an adventure that will leave you speechless? Look no further than the Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka, Kansas! This larger-than-life attraction is a testament to the fearless spirit of the legendary stuntman who captured the hearts of millions with his jaw-dropping feats.

A Dream Come True

Evel Knievel’s dream of having a museum dedicated to his legacy has finally become a reality, thanks to the tireless efforts of Mike Patterson, Lathan McKay, and James Caplinger. These three visionaries worked together to create a one-of-a-kind experience that will transport you back in time to the height of Knievel’s fame in the 1970s.

Stepping into the 13,000-square-foot, two-story museum is like entering a time capsule. You’ll be greeted by the gleaming red, white, and blue of Knievel’s iconic star-spangled leathers and the roar of his motorcycles. The exhibits are arranged chronologically, taking you on a journey from Knievel’s humble beginnings in Butte, Montana, to his rise as a global superstar.

Unbelievable Artifacts

With over 1,000 authentic artifacts on display, the Evel Knievel Museum is a treasure trove of memorabilia. You’ll see Knievel’s original jump bikes, his famous Mack truck “Big Red,” and the Skycycle X-2 that he used in his attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon. You can even get up close and personal with the crash helmets that saved his life on more than one occasion.

But the museum isn’t just about looking at old relics. There are plenty of interactive exhibits that will make you feel like you’re part of the action. Strap on a virtual reality headset and experience the thrill of a death-defying jump, or try your hand at planning your own stunt with the interactive jump planner.

You know I gotta say, when my hubby Jack first mentioned he wanted to go here, I wasn’t very jazzed about it. He’s a huge Evel fan, so I went to be supportive. Honestly guys, I had a blast. It was super interesting – so even if you don’t know much about Knievel, this is totally worth a visit. He really was one-of-a-kind!

A Top-Notch Attraction

It’s no wonder that the Evel Knievel Museum was named one of the top 10 best new attractions in the United States by USA Today in 2017. And in 2019, it received the prestigious Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association for being one of the best new attractions in the country.

One awestruck fan gushed that the museum was like stepping into a time machine. Another raved about the incredible collection of memorabilia, saying it was a must-see for any Evel Knievel fan.
