Nestled above Winona, Minnesota, Garvin Heights Vineyard offers a delightful experience. Established in 2006, this family-owned winery captures the essence of the Upper Mississippi River Valley. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy breathtaking views of our hometown and delicious local wines.
Local Wines with a Unique Flavor
Garvin Heights Vineyard specializes in producing wines from cold climate grapes grown right on their five-acre vineyard.
Perched on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, the vineyard benefits from the unique conditions of the region.
Additionally, they source grapes from other growers in Minnesota and Wisconsin, all within the Upper Mississippi River Valley American Viticulture Area.
The grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and then expertly blended to create a variety of wines. Wines made exclusively from Minnesota grapes proudly bear the Minnesota Grown label.

Wine Tasting Experience
Wine lovers will enjoy the tasting flights offered at Garvin Heights Vineyard. Guests can choose four wine samples from the week’s featured wines for just $8.00. The tasting fee is waived with the purchase of three bottles of wine.
The vineyard’s extensive wine list ensures there’s something to satisfy every palate. Plus, they now offer a selection of domestic and craft beers.
Meet the Founders
Drs. Linda and Marvin Seppanen are the passionate founders behind Garvin Heights Vineyard. They began growing grapes over 30 years ago and received their federal winery permit in 2006. By 2007, they had their Minnesota farm winery license and opened for wine tastings and retail sales.
In 2015, they expanded their facilities with the Ridgeview Event Center, accommodating up to 100 guests. Their dedication and vision have earned Garvin Heights Vineyard the title of Minnesota’s “Most Scenic Winery.”
