LOS ANGELES, CA – In a chilling development, the LAPD has released surveillance images of three men suspected of murdering âGeneral Hospitalâ actor Johnny Wactor. The 37-year-old star was shot and killed in a brazen attack on the streets of downtown Los Angeles on May 25. The suspects are still at large, and the search is intensifying.
The Deadly Confrontation
Wactor, who had just wrapped up a late-night bartending shift, was walking back to his car when he stumbled upon three men trying to steal his catalytic converter. The suspects had jacked up his vehicle, and when Wactor confronted them, the situation took a deadly turn.
Without any warning, one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Wactor in the chest, according to LAPD sources. The brutal attack left the beloved actor dead on the spot. The suspects quickly fled the scene, leaving Wactor to die on the dark streets of downtown LA.
The Getaway and Suspects
The assailants made their escape in a stolen 2018 four-door black Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior. The LAPD has now released surveillance photos of the suspects and their getaway car in a desperate bid to catch the killers.
The images reveal two men in light-colored hooded sweatshirts and a third man dressed in a black hoodie. Disturbingly, one of the suspects has a tattoo above his left eye and another on his right cheek, marking him as a key figure in the investigation.
The Crime Scene
The shocking murder took place on the 1200 block of Hope Street at approximately 3:25 a.m., turning a normally quiet downtown street into the scene of a horrifying crime. The LAPD is urging anyone who was in the area or who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward with information.
Wactorâs Legacy
Johnny Wactor was no stranger to the screen, with a career that spanned popular shows like HBOâs âWestworld,â âNCIS,â and âCriminal Minds.â
However, he was best known for his role in âGeneral Hospital,â where he captivated audiences in 164 episodes between 2020 and 2022. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, leaving fans and colleagues devastated.
The Hunt Continues
As the search for Wactorâs killers continues, the LAPD is asking for the publicâs help in identifying and locating the suspects.
They encourage anyone with information to contact the Central Bureau Homicide division or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
