Gnome-Napping in Kelowna

Kelly Blair of Kelowna, B.C., woke up one late June morning to find his beloved garden gnomes had disappeared. His garden, once home to ten ceramic gnomes, was now vacant.

Blair, who had already lost a canoe a few weeks earlier, feared his neighborhood was no longer safe.

The Gnome Restoration Society Revealed

On July 3rd, a twist of fate knocked on Blair’s door. A mysterious old woman handed him an envelope addressed to “The Homeowner.” Inside, Blair found a paper silhouette of a gnome with the words “Gnome Restoration Society” written down the middle.

With no answers to his questions, the woman led Blair to her truck. To his astonishment, all his gnomes were neatly arranged in boxes, smiling with fresh coats of paint.

Community Kindness Shines

Blair couldn’t believe the exquisite detail and pristine restoration his gnomes had undergone. Though the mysterious group wanted to remain anonymous, Blair expressed immense gratitude for their random act of kindness.
