Trouble Is Temporary, But God’s Word Is Eternal
WINONA, MN – In life, we all face challenges and difficulties. But it’s important to remember that these troubles are temporary. God’s Word reminds us in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
This means that no matter what you face, God has already equipped you to rise above it. When you understand this truth, you won’t be offended by trouble; instead, you’ll see it as an opportunity for growth and a chance for God to work in your life.

Rise Above The Offense
It’s easy to become offended when things don’t go our way, but offense only holds us back. When you let go of the need to be offended, you free yourself to experience the peace and joy that God has for you.
Remember, being offended by trouble doesn’t change your situation; it only changes your attitude. And God wants you to have an attitude of victory, knowing that He is in control and has a plan for your life. Choose to rise above the offense and trust that God is working all things for your good.
Affirmations to Consider
- I will not be offended by trouble; I know God is with me.
- I trust that God is turning my challenges into blessings.
- I will keep a positive attitude, knowing that God’s plan for me is good.
Keep Your Focus On God’s Plan
When trouble comes, it’s easy to lose focus on God’s promises. But this is the time when you need to stay strong in your faith. Don’t let temporary difficulties distract you from the bigger picture. God has a plan for your life, and it’s a good plan.
When you keep your focus on His promises, you’ll see that the trouble you’re facing is just a stepping stone to something greater. Trust that God is guiding your steps, and He’s leading you into a place of abundance and peace.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You that even in the midst of trouble, You are with us. Help us to keep our hearts free from offense and to trust in Your perfect plan for our lives.
We believe that You are turning our challenges into blessings and leading us into a place of victory. Give us the strength to rise above the difficulties we face, knowing that You have already overcome the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
