MOORHEAD, MN – On Wednesday evening, a residential neighborhood in Moorhead, Minnesota was shaken by gunfire following what authorities describe as a property dispute.
The incident, which occurred in the 1000 block of 14th Street South, escalated into a violent altercation, leading to the arrest of three men.
Police Respond to Multiple Gunshots
At around 7:10 p.m., Moorhead police received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that two men had exchanged gunfire during the dispute.
The conflict, which began as a disagreement over property, quickly spiraled into a physical fight, culminating in shots being fired.
Car Chase Leads to Arrests
As the situation escalated, one of the men attempted to flee in a car. However, the confrontation continued, with gunfire being exchanged between the man in the vehicle and another man who remained at the residence.
Police later located the vehicle in the 3000 block of 20th Street South, where two suspects were apprehended. Meanwhile, a third man was arrested at the original location of the incident.
No Injuries Reported, Property Damage Confirmed
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire. However, stray bullets did cause some property damage in the vicinity.
Moorhead Police are continuing to investigate the incident, with all three men currently being interviewed by authorities.
