Hearing God’s Voice
WINONA, MN – We all long to hear from God, to know that He’s guiding our steps and speaking to our hearts. But sometimes, the noise of life can drown out His voice. The good news is, God is always speaking. He’s not distant; He’s near, whispering words of love, direction, and encouragement.
Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” You have the ability to hear God in the Spirit. It’s not reserved for a select few; it’s a promise to all who believe.

Tuning Into Divine Guidance
Hearing in the Spirit begins with quieting the noise around you. In today’s world, it’s easy to be distracted by what you see, hear, and experience. But God’s voice often comes in a still, small whisper.
You have to make space in your life for that whisper. It’s about setting aside time to be still before the Lord, to meditate on His Word, and to listen with an open heart. When you do, you’ll begin to recognize His voice more clearly, guiding you toward His perfect plan for your life.
Three Affirmations to Consider
- I am attuned to the voice of God, and I hear Him clearly.
- I walk in divine guidance, knowing that the Holy Spirit leads my steps.
- I am at peace, knowing that God’s voice directs my path.
Overcoming Doubt and Fear
One of the biggest challenges in hearing God’s voice is overcoming doubt. The enemy wants to keep you from hearing clearly, by filling your mind with fear and uncertainty. But remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
When doubt tries to creep in, remind yourself of who you are in Christ. Declare that you are His sheep, and you know His voice. Trust that He is faithful to speak, and you are capable of hearing.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of hearing in the Spirit. Today, we open our hearts to Your voice. We quiet the distractions of life and make room for Your guidance. Lord, help us to recognize Your whispers, to walk in Your ways, and to trust in Your plans.
We declare that doubt and fear have no place in our lives, for we are Your children, and we know Your voice. Thank You for leading us into Your peace, purpose, and prosperity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
