Bodies Found After Welfare Check

Police arrived at a mobile home located in the 6700 block of 9th Avenue around 2:44 p.m. after a request for a welfare check. Unable to enter immediately, officers secured a search warrant. Once inside, they encountered the bodies of five individuals.

Authorities quickly classified the incident as isolated, assuring residents that no ongoing danger threatened the area.

The victims included 27-year-old Briana Payne and her three daughters: 4-year-old Alayna Payne, 6-year-old Ava Payne, and 7-year-old Aurorah Payne. All four suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and their deaths were determined to be homicides.
