WASHINGTON, UT – According to local authorities, a local hiker in Utah came across a grizzly discover over the weekend: human remains. The Washington City Police Department reported that the remains were found near the Bone Walsh trail and Elephant Arch hiking area, located near the Arizona border.

Investigation Underway

Officers, along with deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene on Sunday.

Upon investigation, they confirmed the remains were human and in “various states of decomposition,” suggesting they had been there for some time.
