Grand Marais is one of my favorite small towns in all of Minnesota. With its quaint seaside vibe, proximity to the Boundary Waters wilderness, world-class art scene, and so so much more, Grand Marais is a must-visit.

So what am I highlighting today?

Mark your calendars for Dec. 1-2, 2023, in Grand Marais, Minnesota! This weekend festival has so many fun things to offer, especially for a charming town of a little over 1,300 residents! 🌊❄️

The thing I’m looking forward to the most is meeting the animals: The team of sled dogs that raced in The Beargrease and The Iditarod will be there…not to mention the Goat Meet and Greet (I’m a sucker for animals in outfits, you guys!).

But there’s plenty for everyone, including Sauna Sessions at Harbor Park, s’mores and Yeti Santa! 🌟🛷🎉

Friday Festivities

10 am-6 pm: Get your holiday gifts wrapped for free at Stone Harbor Wilderness Supply.
11 am-2 pm: Don’t miss the Holiday Festive Goat Meet & Greet in Mayhew Parking Lot. Say hello to adorable, snuggly goats in festive attire! 🐐
2-5 pm: Create your own glass tree ornament at Joy & Co. for a memorable keepsake.
5-7 pm: Enjoy treats and art at Sivertson Gallery, and join the Bookworm Social Hour at Drury Lane Books.
7 pm: Experience holiday plays at Arrowhead Center for the Arts.
8-11 pm: Sing your heart out at Katieoke hosted by Katie Slanga at Up Yonder on 61.

1-4 pm: Chat with artists at Sivertson Gallery and meet sled dogs at Joy & Co.’s backyard.

3 pm: Participate in the Frozen Fish Toss at The Fisherman’s Daughter.
5 pm-midnight: Join the Cook County Ridge Riders Membership Kick-Off Party at Up Yonder on 61.
