This cheese, like many others in the shop, is crafted from Wisconsin cows’ milk. The difference lies in its infusion of Carolina Reaper peppers. Known as the world’s hottest chili pepper, the Carolina Reaper clocks in at 1.6 million Scoville Heat Units.

For context, a Serrano pepper measures around 10,000 Scoville Heat Units. So, when you bite into Angel de la Muerte, you’re in for a scorching experience.

Kenneth and Melissa McNulty own Wisconsin Cheese Mart. Kenneth, a third-generation Milwaukeean, comes from a family with deep roots in the food industry.
