Grandma’s Hummingbird Muffins – A Taste Of Grandma’s Love: Recipes From The Heartland
🥄 Travel to the Heartland and taste heartwarming recipes. Enjoy memories from Grandma’s kitchen that will make you feel right at home! 🏡 #Recipes #Heartland #MidwestMunchies
WINONA, MN – My grandma was an amazing cook. Even though Grandma is long gone now, I remember spending hours in her kitchen. Watching her withered hands as she cooked. Her smile. Her voice, telling me stories from what she called “the good old days”. Grandma’s cooking: those two words mean the world to me. Grandma’s cooking.
🌿 Memories of Grandma’s Kitchen
I wish I had photos of her in the kitchen, or of the food she prepared. Of course, this was back in the days before Instagram. I guess it doesn’t matter: what Grandma was cooking couldn’t have been captured on Instagram.
Today I’ll catch a smell, a sound, maybe just a word… and I’m instantly brought back to my Grandma’s kitchen. It was a world of comfort and peace. This place – my Grandma’s kitchen – is thankfully forever frozen in time. If only in my mind.

📜 A Timeless Treasure
Grandma didn’t leave us any pictures from her kitchen, and thankfully she didn’t just leave me with memories either. The other day, I rediscovered a worn old box with yellowed notecards. Each written carefully in Grandma’s infamous handwriting. The pages are worn, just like our old family Bible, but they are a treasure.
Grandma left us with the recipes that she spent her life making and sharing with our family… along with her love. And now, I want to share these timeless tasty treasures with you.

🍽️ Sharing Grandma’s Recipes
I’m not a food blogger, I don’t claim to be. I’m just a guy from the Midwest that misses his Grandma. So, you won’t find fancy photos of pristine food here. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I love fancy food blogs, but there’s something I love more: my Grandma.
So, in her memory, I’m going to share with you some of Grandma’s best recipes from the Heartland of America. Simple and pure. Give them a try, and be sure to email me if you do. I’d love to know that something our family made is now being enjoyed by your family.
