BIG LAKE, MN — In a shocking discovery that shattered the peace of a quiet Minnesota neighborhood, authorities uncovered what they say was a massive psychedelic drug laboratory operating right next to where children slept.
SUBURBAN SECRETS EXPOSED
Law enforcement swooped down on a seemingly ordinary home in Big Lake’s Helen Way, where they claim they found anything but an ordinary garage.
Instead of storing lawn equipment and bicycles, investigators say the attached garage housed an elaborate drug manufacturing operation, complete with professional-grade ventilation systems and industrial equipment.
FAMILY AFFAIR GOES WRONG
Kevin Schwietz, 34, and his wife Kelsey, 32, now face multiple serious drug charges after Tuesday’s raid.
The couple, who shared the home with their two children, are accused of operating what investigators described as a “clandestine laboratory” specifically designed to produce dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a powerful hallucinogenic drug.
BREAKING BAD IN BIG LAKE
According to Sherburne County Drug Task Force investigators, the garage-turned-laboratory featured permanently installed ventilation systems, sophisticated equipment including heat plates and specialized glassware, and industrial-grade air purifying respirator masks.

The operation allegedly produced such potent fumes that officers immediately noticed a strong chemical smell upon entering.
STAGGERING SEIZURE
In what authorities are calling one of the largest DMT busts in recent memory, investigators reportedly seized:
- 68 pounds of suspected liquid DMT
- 61 grams of suspected powder DMT
- 19 grams of methamphetamine
- 1 gram of cocaine
- 21 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
CHILDREN AT RISK
Perhaps most disturbing, prosecutors allege that dangerous drugs and paraphernalia were scattered throughout the family home, all within easy reach of the couple’s children.
Both suspects are now being held on $1 million bail each. As with all criminal matters, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

They are presumably innocent until proven gulity but you shame them like they are and having drugs in detached garage ìs hardly having them next to there head while they sleep while it could put th children at risk and does damage neighborhoods you are paining a picture that is false instead of staing facts you have them guilty before they can even defend themselves
