BEVERLY HILLS, CA – In a case that has shaken the prestigious Beverly Hills music community, a California piano instructor entrusted with nurturing young talent now stands accused of betraying that sacred trust in the most egregious way. Law enforcement officials have arrested a 41-year-old teacher who allegedly sexually abused his teenage student over a three-month period at multiple locations, including the renowned French Conservatory of Music.

Investigation Uncovers Disturbing Pattern

The Santa Monica Police Department arrested Hovanes John Jihanyan on December 13 following an investigation that began when detectives received a report of suspected abuse on November 19. The Van Nuys resident was taken into custody in Encino after police executed a search warrant.

According to prosecutors, the alleged abuse occurred between August 1 and November 9 at multiple locations, including the student’s home, the teacher’s residence and vehicle, and his studio at the French Conservatory of Music in Beverly Hills.
