WESTMINSTER, CO – A violent standoff in Colorado ended in chaos when a barricaded suspect armed himself with a knife and launched a barrage of objects—including paint cans, pool balls, and tools—at police before being taken down by SWAT. The confrontation, which began as a domestic assault call, quickly escalated into a dangerous ordeal that forced officers to deploy drones and tactical strategies to subdue the suspect.

Suspect Attacks Police with Household Objects

Westminster Police revealed that officers first responded just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, to a report of a suspect who had allegedly assaulted his father.

While officers attempted to negotiate his surrender, the 37-year-old suspect, whose name was not disclosed, turned hostile and armed himself with a knife.

The man then began hurling various objects—including tools, paint cans, and pool balls—at police from a distance, forcing officers to call in the SWAT team.
