MIAMI GARDENS, FL – A Florida woman, Victoria Delisa Williams, 61, faces second-degree murder charges in the death of her stepfather. The incident took place on February 4, 2025, at a residence in the 15000 block of Northwest 32nd Place, leaving authorities with a case now headed to court.

Williams was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County. She remains in custody without bond, with her next court appearance set for March 26, 2025.

A Violent Altercation Unfolds

The events unfolded around 2 p.m. on February 4, when Williams called 911 to report an altercation with her stepfather. She told dispatchers he had nearly bitten her finger off during a struggle but did not mention that he was unconscious or in need of medical help.

When police arrived, they found the stepfather unresponsive in the living room, suffering from severe injuries to his forehead. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Williams, who had blood on her clothes at the scene, explained to officers that she had been visiting her mother and stepfather.

According to her account, the stepfather demanded she leave, sparking a physical confrontation. She said the two wrestled on the floor, during which he bit her on the leg and finger. Williams maintained he was the aggressor and that her actions were in self-defense, adding that he had prevented her from seeing her mother and treated her unfairly.

Evidence Points to Blunt Force Trauma

Investigators found blood throughout the home, along with a bloodied metal cane and a hair vitalizer jar. A medical examiner later determined these items were used as weapons in the attack.

The stepfather’s death was ruled a homicide, caused by blunt force trauma. Williams did not mention any weapons in her initial statement to police.

Authorities also collected Williams’ purse, which held more than $600 in cash and credit cards belonging to her mother and stepfather. The stepfather’s identity has not been released to the public.

Ongoing Investigation and Court Proceedings

Detectives continue to piece together the details of the fatal encounter. Williams’ claim of self-defense will likely play a central role as the case moves forward.

For now, she remains behind bars, awaiting her next court date later this month.
