While patrolling the waters off Stuart, they spotted something truly bizarre—none other than a Tyrannosaurus rex gracefully paddle-boarding its way toward shore. And no, they hadn’t accidentally traveled back to the Cretaceous period.

Jurassic Paddleboarding?

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office shared a funny video of the jaw-dropping moment on Monday, showing the T-rex confidently gliding across the water.

If that wasn’t strange enough, the dinosaur then attempted to climb onto a dock, proving that while T-rexes may have ruled the Earth millions of years ago, they were definitely not built for upper-body strength.

“Yes, our Marine unit had to do a double take as well, but all is good, just a dinosaur paddle boarding. Nothing to see here,” the sheriff’s office joked on Facebook, likely after confirming that time travel was not, in fact, involved.

A Struggle of Prehistoric Proportions

As the video continues, the T-rex makes a valiant effort to hoist itself onto the dock, flailing in a way that can only be described as “dinosaur in distress.”
