LOS ANGELES, CA – A shocking twist in a high-profile Hollywood robbery has unfolded thousands of miles away in Chile. A Rolex watch, stolen from Keanu Reeves’ Los Angeles, California home in 2023, was recently seized by Chilean police after they made an arrest tied to a series of violent robberies in Santiago.
The Stolen Rolex: A Unique Piece of Hollywood History
The watch, which had a personal engraving from Reeves, reads, “The John Wick Five” and “Keanu Thank You JW4 2021.”
This distinctive detail left no question that the Rolex belonged to the 60-year-old actor, who was robbed of this and other valuable items during a break-in at his home last year.
Along with the watch, reports also say a gun was taken during the robbery, which shocked both the actor and his fans alike.
Chilean Police Arrest and Seizure of Stolen Goods
Chilean authorities announced the arrest on X (formerly Twitter) on December 30, 2024. The Investigations Police of Chile shared photos of the Rolex, confirming it as one of the items taken in the Los Angeles robbery.
In their announcement, they also mentioned that “various jewels, valuable watches, and stolen objects” were seized during their investigation. The stolen Rolex was linked to “a famous film actor” who had been the victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023.
Ongoing Investigation and Cooperation with LAPD
A Chilean police official provided additional details in a TV interview, confirming that authorities are actively coordinating with the Los Angeles Police Department. They are working together to determine the best way to return the stolen items, including the engraved Rolex, to Keanu Reeves.
As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen whether more stolen items will be recovered.
