At exactly 1:53 p.m., Mason sprinted through the open garage door of the Public Safety Facility, catching authorities off guard. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes—still restrained by a handcuff-linked waistbelt.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Mason had been temporarily released under conditional terms related to a Hennepin County warrant. But this freedom was short-lived, as he was being taken to address an active warrant out of Ramsey County when the dramatic escape unfolded.
