TRUMAN, MN — Authorities in southern Minnesota have arrested a man accused of shooting a woman in the chest during a domestic dispute last week. The incident took place in Truman on Wednesday and led to a manhunt before the suspect was taken into custody over the weekend.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
The suspect, 32-year-old Kyle Jonathan Liford, allegedly shot the woman during an argument. After the shooting, he fled the scene, possibly driving a green 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with the license plate NVU 782.
Authorities launched a search for him and later arrested him. He is now being held at the Martin County Jail.
Multiple Felony Charges Filed
Liford has been charged in Martin County court with five felonies, including second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault, along with multiple weapon-related offenses.
His bail has been set at $300,000 with conditions or $600,000 without conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for today.
Victim’s Condition Unknown
Before Liford’s arrest, officials urged the public to report any information about his whereabouts.

The woman who was shot was taken to the hospital, but authorities have not released any updates on her condition.
