ST. PAUL, MN – A terrifying ordeal in St. Paul, Minnesota left a woman battling severe burns, stab wounds, and psychological trauma after allegedly being held captive and tortured by a man she once trusted. The details, revealed in newly filed court documents, outline a harrowing two-day nightmare filled with violence, assault, and manipulation. Now, the suspect, 22-year-old Jabari Quentin Junior, faces multiple felony charges, including kidnapping and assault, that could put him behind bars for life.

Abuse and Torture Behind Closed Doors

The victim, referred to in court filings as “CR,” told authorities she had been trafficked by Junior, who subjected her to horrifying abuse in his apartment.

Investigators say Junior began his reign of terror by forcibly shaving her head as punishment for speaking to other men.

This initial act spiraled into further violence, with CR allegedly being cut, stabbed, and doused multiple times with boiling water, leaving her disfigured and temporarily blind in her right eye.

CR claimed Junior let numerous men into the apartment to assault her while she was under the influence of drugs. The court documents describe how she endured repeated assaults and violence while being held against her will, with Junior closely monitoring her every move.

Deprived of Water and Forced to Drink Chemicals

The abuse didn’t stop at physical attacks. He even took her to Wabasha Bridge, urging her to jump off and end her life.

Prosecutors say Junior deprived CR of water and attempted to force her to drink cleaning solution.

CR’s attempts to escape failed, as Junior tracked her movements throughout the apartment, ensuring she couldn’t leave.

Final Warning and Escape

The horror concluded when Junior led CR to a bus stop on Wabasha Street and Fillmore Avenue. He called for an ambulance, warning her to lie about her injuries or face even worse consequences. Before emergency responders arrived, Junior fled the scene.

When police interviewed CR at the hospital, they encountered a woman suffering from severe burns that caused oozing wounds on her face, arms, and torso. She had a stab wound on her shin and was in so much pain that even wearing a hospital gown aggravated her injuries.

The Suspect’s Denial and Cleanup Efforts

Junior denied many of the allegations during his police interview, claiming that CR had arrived at his apartment already injured.

He described their relationship as “friends with benefits” and claimed she had previously been trafficked in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

He admitted CR used his phone to arrange “dates” with other men but denied involvement in much of the abuse. However, he did confess to cutting a small portion of her hair, contradicting CR’s statement that he shaved her head.

A search of Junior’s apartment, however, told a different story. Police found evidence of a cleanup attempt, blood-stained sweatpants, and other materials suggesting a violent struggle had taken place.

Felony Charges and Potential Life Sentence

Junior now faces two counts of kidnapping, one count of first-degree assault, and one count of second-degree assault. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

The chilling details of this case expose a brutal chapter of violence and exploitation that authorities say they are determined to punish to the fullest extent of the law.
