The incident, which took place in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday evening, has left many wondering how they survived the harrowing ordeal.

Vehicle Found Near Thompsons Boathouse

Around 7 p.m., DC Fire and EMS crews responded to reports of a vehicle in the Potomac River near Thompsons Boathouse on Virginia Avenue NW.

Upon arrival, first responders found the car partially submerged, its tires facing the sky. Photos shared by the department showed the upside-down vehicle near the shoreline, adding to the dramatic scene.

The quick-thinking actions of those involved helped avoid further injury. By the time crews arrived, the four individuals had managed to get out of the water.

Emergency responders were able to assess the situation immediately, and all four were evaluated at the scene. Fortunately, none of them showed signs of severe injuries.

No Serious Injuries Reported

Despite the shock of the crash, the two adults and two children were reported to be in “good condition.”
