DENMARK, TN — Four suspects in Tennessee decided to use their pet pythons as “weapons” in a gas station robbery — it didn’t end up the way you’d expect. I know, this sounds more like a Florida headline, but it happened right here in the Volunteer State! Hehe.

The Great Snake Robbery

Security footage from March 4 captured the unusual scene at a Denmark Citgo station, where two men and two women apparently thought pythons would make excellent persuasion tools. The reptilian robbers brandished two ball pythons while helping themselves to approximately $400 worth of CBD oil, giving new meaning to the phrase cold-blooded crime.

No Ordinary Hold-up

Store employee Mayur Raval and his brother watched as the suspects slithered their way through their criminal masterplan. The scaly scene unfolded when one suspect placed a white python on the counter, followed by their partner who added a brown-multicolored snake to the mix. Talk about bringing backup!

Snake and Take

The four suspects made their getaway in a black sedan that had seen better days, complete with drive-out tags and rear-end damage. In a particularly amateur touch, the trunk was secured with bungee cords — perhaps not the most sophisticated escape vehicle for aspiring snake charmers.

The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
