FBI Tip Uncovers Alleged Deadly Plan
Police moved quickly after receiving an urgent tip from the FBI on Tuesday evening.
Investigators say the suspect, Trinity Shockley, had developed a plan to attack her high school, located southwest of Indianapolis. Within hours, officers raided her home and took her into custody before she could act on the alleged plot.
Shockley now faces serious charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, making terrorist threats, and conspiracy to commit intimidation.
She remains behind bars without bail as the case unfolds.
Connection to a Deadly Anniversary
Authorities noted the intended attack date carried chilling significance.
If carried out, the shooting would have taken place on the seventh anniversary of the deadly massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people were killed in 2018.
