Khaya’s always had a thirst for knowledge. “Since I was very young, I always wanted to boost my academic career. I always wanted to achieve more,” he told reporters. In fact, he skipped about three grades before even setting foot in college. Now that’s what we call a real go-getter!

But Khaya’s not just a bookworm. He’s also a member of The Jesse White Tumblers, a non-profit educational and cultural enrichment program founded by former Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White. Secretary White had nothing but praise for the young scholar, telling reporters: “He’s one of the best and brightest, one of the sharpest knives in the drawer. He speaks two foreign languages and he’s preparing to go off to grad school.” Wow, is there anything this kid can’t do?
