LOS ANGELES, CA – Judge Greg Mathis will be seeing his wife Linda in court after she filed for divorce Thursday after 39 years of marriage.
Linda Mathis, 61, filed for divorce in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, citing “irreconcilable differences” with the “Judge Mathis” host, 64. She listed July 17 as the date of their separation, and requested spousal support.
The pair met at Eastern Michigan University and married in 1985, long before Mathis launched his reality court series in 1999.
The series went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award and ended in 2023 after 24 years and more than 13,000 cases. Last year, he launched “Mathis Court With Judge Mathis.”
The family also appeared in the reality TV series “Mathis Family Matters” in 2022, but the show only lasted for a single season.
The pair share four adult children: Jade, 39, Camara, 36, Greg Jr., 35, and Amir, 34.
