Kenosha, Wisconsin – Imagine looking at your security camera and seeing a strange, large figure walking along your garage. That’s exactly what happened to the Molgaard family in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. Much to their surprise, the mysterious visitor turned out to be an adorable (and very friendly) 450-pound pig named Kevin Bacon!
Feeding Time for Kevin Bacon
When the friendly pig showed up at their back door, Jake Molgaard’s wife did what she always does with animals in their backyard – she started feeding him! Kevin happily munched on apples, rice cakes, tomatoes, and carrots.
The Search for Kevin’s Owner
After Kevin’s impromptu meal, the Molgaards knew they had to find his owner. Jake called a farmer friend who not only knew the pig’s owner but also had his phone number. The owner was out of town but asked the family to kindly lure Kevin back to his pen with some tasty treats like cookies and marshmallows.
A Pig Patrol
With the help of the Kenosha County sheriff’s office, the Molgaards led Kevin down a trail and along a side road. The deputies even stopped to take a few photos with the famous pig before leaving with big smiles on their faces.
The Journey Home
Getting Kevin back to his pen was no easy task. The Molgaards’ 16-year-old daughter had to hop on the pig’s hairy back to keep him moving whenever he had second thoughts about going home. After a mile-long trek and 2 1/2 hours, Kevin finally made it back to his pen, guided by the glow of a flashlight in the dark.

A Gentle Giant
Despite his massive size, Kevin’s owner says he’s a gentle giant. The Molgaards have been visiting him every day since his adventure, treating him to a dozen donuts each time. It just goes to show that even pigs can’t resist the lure of a sweet treat and a little attention!
