After four days of fruitless searching, the Anguianos had no choice but to return to their home in Salinas, California. Though heartbroken, they never completely gave up hope that their cat might somehow make his way back.

More than 800 miles away, in Roseville, California, a woman had discovered him wandering the streets and brought him to a local animal shelter.
