Lowe’s Mirrors Could Shatter Your Peace!

MAPLE GROVE, MN – More than 27,000 wall mirrors sold exclusively at Lowe’s are being recalled because they can detach from their mounting plate and fall, posing laceration and impact hazards.

The recall involves 27.400 Origin 21 Black Framed Wall Mirrors in both rectangular and oval shapes, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The rectangle model number is L1-MH-1647, and the oval model number is L1-MH-1693. The model numbers are printed on a label on the back of the mirror.

The mirrors were sold exclusively at Lowe’s Stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com from October 2023 through April 2024 for between $60 and $80.

Manufacturer Huahong Art Home Shares has received 15 reports of the mirrors falling due to the defect, but no injuries have been reported.

The recalled mirrors can detach from the metal plate used for hanging and fall. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mirrors and contact Huahong Art Home Shares for instructions on how to receive a full refund. Consumers will be asked to email photos of the mirror to receive the refund, or arrange for a pre-paid shipping box.

Huahong Art Home Shares said it is contacting all known purchasers directly.
