LOS ANGELES, CA – “Lost” star Matthew Fox is set to lead the upcoming “Yellowstone” spinoff “The Madison,” Paramount announced Monday.
Known for playing Charlie Salinger on “Party of Five” and Dr. Jack Shephard on “Lost,” Fox, 58, will lead “The Madison” alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, 66, who is set to star and produce.
Fox will play Paul, “a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors,” in the upcoming series, which follows a New York family living in Montana’s Madison River valley. According to the press release, the series will be a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection.”
Alongside Fox and Pfeiffer, the seventh “Yellowstone” spinoff series will also star Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, and Elle Chapman.
“Yellowstone,” the Taylor Sheridan series that started it all, was led by Kevin Costner, and set in the present, after generations of the Dutton family had settled the area and gained power through their sprawling ranch.
The first spinoff, “1883,” starred Faith Hill and Tim McGraw as the Dutton ancestors who journeyed from Texas to Montana, while “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” about the first Black U.S. Marshal, was set in the same time period.
“1923” saw Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford as another pair of Duttons, working to hold on to the ranch established by their forbears. Several other spinoffs have been confirmed to be in the works, including a Matthew McConaughey-led spinoff titled “6666,” pronounced “Four Sixes.”
