The Surprising Addition: An Alligator Inside the Home

In an unexpected find, officers also encountered a live alligator inside the property. Michigan State Police later posted on X (formerly Twitter), noting, “On a side note, an alligator was also located in the home.”

They confirmed the alligator was turned over to a local animal shelter, where it could be safely rehomed.

Michigan State Police plan to provide updates as the investigation progresses. The discovery of the alligator amid the drug and weapons seizure adds an unusual element to an otherwise serious case.
