Deadly Microdosing Gummies and Chocolate Bars To Blame!

ST. PAUL, MN – A wave of sickness has swept the nation, and the culprit is shocking. Diamond Shruumz, a company known for its microdosing chocolate bars, is now under fire. More than 60 people from 28 states have sought medical help after consuming these so-called wellness products.

FDA Investigation Uncovers Disturbing Details

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiated an investigation in June after receiving reports of illnesses linked to Diamond Shruumz’s microdosing chocolate bars.

What started with eight cases quickly spiraled out of control. By mid-July, the number of affected individuals had skyrocketed to 69, with 36 hospitalizations and one potential death.

Psilocin Found in Gummies

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealed even more troubling news.

Tests conducted by the University of Virginia Health Toxicology Laboratory found that some of Diamond Shruumz’s gummies contained psilocin, a psychedelic substance and a Schedule I controlled substance in many states.

This illegal ingredient was discovered in the Sour Peach Apple and Rainbow gummies, despite the company’s claims that their products were free of any scheduled drugs.

The Dark Side of Microdosing

Microdosing involves taking small doses of psychedelics like psilocybin to boost creativity and mental health.

It’s a trend that has gained popularity in Silicon Valley, even among high-powered executives. However, Diamond Shruumz’s products have shown that this practice can have serious, unintended consequences.

Mysterious Mushroom Mishap

The CDC’s study also pointed to another issue: gummies labeled to contain Amanita muscaria. While this mushroom is legal, it can cause unwanted symptoms. Five people needed hospital evaluations after consuming these gummies between September and June.

Recall and Warning Issued

In response to the rising number of illnesses, Diamond Shruumz recalled all their products in June.

The FDA is keeping a close watch on Prophet Premium Blends, the company behind Diamond Shruumz, to ensure compliance. The agency strongly advises consumers to steer clear of any Diamond Shruumz products to avoid further health risks.
