Minneapolis: July 4th Fireworks Spectacular Finally Set To Return!

Get ready to “ooh” and “aah” as Minneapolis lights up the sky with the return of the July 4th fireworks spectacular! 🎆 Don’t miss out on this night of patriotic fun, live music, and delicious food! 🇺🇸🎉 #RedWhiteAndBoom #July4thMinneapolis #FireworksAreBack

Minneapolis, Minnesota – After a five-year break, the beloved “Red, White and Boom” Independence Day fireworks show is making a comeback in downtown Minneapolis! 🎇 The last time the city witnessed this spectacular display was way back in 2019. Uff da! 📅

My hubby Jack and I are so excited about celebrating Independence Day in the Twin Cities this year!

Music, Food, and Fireworks Galore! 🎵🌭

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has announced that the festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. on July 4th with live music and food trucks to get everyone in the patriotic spirit. 🎸🍔 The main event, a dazzling pyrotechnic display, will light up the sky at 10 p.m., giving everyone plenty of time to find the perfect spot to watch. 🎆

Prime Viewing Spots 🌉

The celebration will take place on the west side of the mighty Mississippi River at Water Works and the Stone Arch Bridge parking lot. 🌊 Park Board Superintendent Al Bangoura couldn’t contain his excitement, saying that people absolutely love watching the Fourth of July fireworks on the downtown Minneapolis riverfront. 🎉

A Brief Hiatus 😷

The Park Board had to put the celebration on hold in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions that prevented large gatherings. 🚫 In 2021 and 2022, they opted for smaller July 4th celebrations at various sites across Minneapolis to keep the spirit alive. 🎇 Last year, they even treated the city to a laser light show on Boom Island! 🌠

A Bittersweet Return 🌉🚧

While the fireworks are making a comeback, one popular viewing spot won’t be available this year. 😢 The historic Stone Arch Bridge will be undergoing a two-year reconstruction by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, which means it will be closed to the public during the celebration. 🚧

But don’t let that dampen your spirits! There are plenty of other fantastic spots to catch the show and celebrate America’s birthday in style. 🇺🇸 So mark your calendars, grab your loved ones, and get ready for a night of patriotic fun and unforgettable memories! 🎆✨
